Robert Zimmerman was raised in the Hudson River Valley. He trained and taught at the Maine Photograpy Workshops before relocating to Oregon by way of Colorado. Since 1996 he has worked seasonally in Antarctica as a trash man, iron worker, and tower climber, capturing images of that continent's beauty whenever he can feel his fingers.
